SPECIALIST SERVICES FOR YOUNG PEOPLE:
Youth outreach, counselling, consultancy and continuing care are available together with supported accommodation, peer support and Aboriginal services. These services are available on a regional basis.
DIRECTLINE is able to provide comprehensive information about these services on a 24 hour basis.
YSAS (Youth Support and Advocacy Service) has a 24 hour line providing a central point for referrals to all YSAS client services as well as information for parents, carers and other professionals working with young people.
SERVICES TARGETING WOMEN, PREGNANT WOMEN AND NEW MOTHERS:
DIRECTLINE can provide comprehensive information about available services. The ROYAL WOMEN'S HOSPITAL - WOMEN'S ALCOHOL AND DRUG SERVICE provides counselling, information, education, referrals and follow up together with specialist inpatient and out patient treatment and advice for pregnant women and babies with drug problems. This is a specialist Statewide service.
